President and CEO, AMG

President and CEO, J. Bruce Wardle, CAE, is an association executive who brings his superior skills in not for profit management, governance, membership, marketing and communication and certification to the association community and to AMG’s clients. With a staff of about 75 association and communication professionals serving 14 full-service clients and numerous outsource clients, Wardle leads the largest and most respected Washington D.C. based association management company (AMC) in the industry.

Wardle has been with AMG since 1993 and has more than 26 years of association and convention management experience. He is an active member of the American Society of Association Executives, (ASAE) having served as Chair of ASAE’s AMC Council, is an active member of the Professional Convention Management Association, (PCMA) having served as Chair of PCMA’s Education Foundation and is active with the Association Management Company Institute as a member of the AMCI Board of Directors. In addition to his extensive not-for-profit knowledge, Wardle has experience in the federal and advocacy arena, which has been of significant benefit to AMG’s clients.

As CEO of AMG, Wardle’s core purpose is to help clients achieve their organizational goals. Guiding him and AMG’s associates to mutual success is the client's strategic plan, annual operating budget, and contracted service needs as set and determined by each Board of Directors.

An avid skier and photographer, Wardle graduated with a degree in political science and business from the University of Utah. He is married to Linda Christensen Wardle and they are the parents of five children.
