Association Management Group Spreads Holiday Cheer to Local Needy Families

MCLEAN, Va. , December 20, 2006 - Association Management Group's TeAMG, an internal group of volunteer employees, organized a blue jeans day for staff that raised $550 and donations of hundreds of toys for two local charities, "Our Neighbors Child" and "So Others Might Eat," on Tuesday, December 12, 2006 . Employees dressed down in exchange for a minimum $5 donation and a new, unwrapped toy. AMG President and CEO Bruce Wardle matched the dollars generously contributed by his employees.

"Our Neighbors Child" www.ourneighborschild.org is a local organization dedicated to providing local low-income children with holiday gifts. The toys collected were donated to the local Toys for Tots charity, a national campaign sponsored by the U.S. Marine Corps., committed to collecting and distributing donated toys to needy children during the holiday season.

"It was great to see the AMG employees come together and give to our local area children," said Rick Garcia, co-chair of TeAMG. "The chance to wear blue jeans to work was an incentive that we knew would be fun and irresistible, but the heart of the project was a cause everyone could embrace."

During the Thanksgiving season, employees donated bags of food to "So Others Might Eat" (SOME) www.some.org, a community-based organization that helps the needy and homeless in the D.C. area. Employees were given a shopping list of food items to take with them the next time they were grocery shopping.

"Involving our office in the local community creates a sense of community within AMG , which is reflected in the work we do for our clients," said Wardle.

AMG and TeAMG will continue to actively participate and involve the company in local charities. As the New Year approaches, new opportunities to help those in need will also arrive, and the AMG office is looking forward to the rewarding experiences.
