Association Management Group Announces Two New Management Clients The International Resort Managers Association and The American Association of Woodturners

McLean, Va., November 1, 2005 – Association Management Group, Inc. (AMG), one of the five largest association management companies in the country, today announced that The International Resort Managers Association (IRMA) and the American Association of Woodturners (AAW) both have selected AMG for management and infrastructure services, effectively immediately.

“We are very proud of our new partnerships with IRMA and AAW,” said AMG President and CEO, Bruce Wardle. “These two groups have distinguished histories and we are looking forward to playing a part in their future success. We hope to help them improve operations, increase profitability and achieve their goals.”

As one of AMG’s newest full-service clients, the International Resort Managers Association (IRMA) is focused on, and directed by, resort management professionals. IRMA members recognize that resorts are unique when compared to all other lodging and hospitality operations. IRMA embodies this uniqueness by providing opportunities for interaction, learning and networking on a one-on-one level among resort operators and resort senior staff.

”IRMA has incredible potential,” says Tim Norman, general manager of Oglebay Resort and IRMA chair. “With AMG as our management company, IRMA will have the resources required to grow our association. We believe AMG’s professionalism, vision for the success of the organization and, most importantly, the fresh perspective on IRMA’s expansion is essential to the future of the organization.

AMG will work with IRMA to establish the IRMA brand, develop information resources and membership services, and build the resort-to-resort networking base that resort managers need.

Another new client to AMG is the American Association of Woodturners (AAW). AAW was founded in 1986 and was sparked by the growth of woodturning as a popular hobby and professional art form following World War II. By the early 1980s, woodturning began appearing in galleries and craft shows, and woodworking magazines explored the techniques and exciting new work of this old craft. For nearly 20 years, the AAW has worked to affirm its mission by supporting education and promoting awareness of woodturning to its audiences.

Recognizing the need to better serve woodturners nationwide, AAW sought AMG’s services, citing its reputation for delivering state-of-the-art technology to association and non-profit clients for more than 23 years. AMG will work with Jeff Jilg, AAW’s current Web master and board member, to ensure a smooth transition of AAW’s technology and database needs, and Web-based commerce and communications services to AMG.
