New Business Growth for Meetings Management Group as GSA Approved Contractor

MCLEAN, Va. , December 20, 2006 - Meetings Management Group today announced approval by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) for the company's requested government contractor status. As a GSA approved contractor, MMG is now granted access to the thousands of meetings held each year by the federal government, which company executives project will increase MMG 's annual volume of government business to $3million within the next three years.   

While start up time to identify and contract for meetings and exhibitions is typically one year, the team expects faster results are possible since they have already been managing projects with the government as a subcontractor. MMG realized the value of the GSA approved contractor status after working on a meeting co-sponsored by a large government agency, according to Liz Jackson, Vice President of MMG . "Following a very successful meeting and exhibition event, the agency asked us to become an approved contractor with GSA so that we could work together on future projects."

Unlike other GSA contractors who often outsource various services to other organizations, MMG 's team of 14 meeting professionals manages every aspect of meetings and exhibitions from consulting to full-service implementation. In the months, Jackson says the staff will continue to train and research outlets that will better allow them to service their government clients.
