McLEAN, Va., May 26, 2006 – Association
Management Group, Inc. (AMG), today announced it has been
selected by the Newsletter & Electronic Publishers Association
(NEPA) for full-service management including marketing,
branding, education, training, membership development and
public relations/communication services. The partnership,
beginning July 1, 2006, marks the fourth new client for
AMG in five months. NEPA will initiate the transition from
a stand-alone association to AMG management following its
30th Annual Newsletter & Specialized-Information Conference,
June 4-6, 2006 in Washington, DC. (www.newsletters.org)
Patti Wysocki, executive director of NEPA for the past
12 of her 22 years with the organization, will continue
to lead the association under new management and notes,
“The NEPA board recognized AMG’s reputation
for helping associations and nonprofit organizations achieve
significant growth for nearly 25 years. AMG’s flexibility,
the professionalism of the employees and their passion for
client success is inspirational. Over the years, NEPA has
made great progress in serving the dynamic needs of members
and the industry, and we look forward to accelerating our
momentum with the broad range of resources AMG will provide
all in one location and at a value.”
NEPA is an international trade association serving publishers
of specialized-information. Currently located in Arlington,
Virginia, NEPA originated in 1977 with 16 members and today
boasts nearly 500 corporate members that publish more than
3,000 newsletters and represent a diverse range in company
size, geography and content specialty. Members rely on NEPA
to provide workshops, seminars, roundtables, conferences
and events to help them build more profitable businesses
and offer a forum for the exchange of leading-edge ideas
and information.
In July, 2006, the association will officially change its
name to the Specialized Information Publishers Association
as part of its recently adopted strategic plan. The name
change positions the organization to accomplish its long-range
goal of broadening the prospective member base while more
accurately reflecting the future of the industry. AMG’s
marketing and communications division, Communications Management
Group (CMG), has been retained under separate agreement
to launch the organization’s new identity and market
the growing profession, industry and association.
“We fully embrace NEPA’s mission to serve its
worldwide members through education, training, networking
and advocacy to foster growth, profitability and professional
excellence,” says Bruce Wardle, CAE, president of
AMG. “We anticipate a long-lasting relationship with
the board and members built upon a foundation of credibility
and trust. Our qualified team of association experts stands
ready to transition NEPA into AMG seamlessly and embark
on a prosperous future for the association.”
