Significant First Quarter Growth for
Association Management Group

Largest Washington, DC-based association management firm announces third new client in 2006

McLean, Va., March 2, 2006 – Association Management Group (AMG), a leading management services firm dedicated to driving growth and building sustained success for associations and non profit organizations welcomes the International Society for the Study of Dissociation (ISSD), as the newest addition to its client partners. The contract, initiated March 1, 2006, represents the third of three new clients to begin work with AMG since the first of the year.

“It is has been our mission, since AMG’s founding in 1982, to provide expertise and business solutions that help organizations achieve their goals and we appreciate that opportunity with ISSD,” says Bruce Wardle, President and CEO of AMG. “Powered by the knowledge and leadership of trusted AMG advisors, ISSD will recognize the efficiencies achieved through shared services such as accounting, technology, human resources, and facilities costs at an exceptional value. We are proud to serve the distinguished group of professionals at ISSD and look forward to supporting the organization in fulfilling its mission.”

ISSD is an international, non profit professional society organized to develop and promote comprehensive, clinically effective and empirically based resources and responses to dissociation. Dissociation describes the disconnection or lack of connection between things usually associated with each other and psychologically manifests itself often in people who have experienced trauma resulting in depersonalization, derealization, amnesia, identity confusion, and identity alteration.

The society offers education through training, conferences, networking, resource exchange, and a journal of peer-reviewed scientific literature about dissociative disorders. While ISSD is a professional society, lay membership is welcomed. AMG will provide ISSD with full-service management services to include staffing and administrative support to enhance its educational offerings.

“The future of ISSD depends on effective management and passionate volunteer leadership,” says Eli Somer, president of ISSD. “We now have both: the ISSD membership and the community of professionals we serve will benefit greatly from this new partnership. I am confident in our selection of the responsive, reliable team of talented association professionals at AMG to guide our organization and collaborate with our dedicated leaders to further our success.”
