Hot Fall Planned for WAEA and AHAA

Every year, as summer winds down, business begins to boom in the non-profit and association industries. Many organizations host conferences to bring their members together for networking and educational opportunities. This month, two AMG clients will be hosting conferences in the always hot and happening city of Miami , Fla.

The World Airline Entertainment Association (WAEA) brings the inflight entertainment industry's largest tradeshow to Miami with their 27 th Annual Conference & Exhibition September 12 - 15 at the Miami Beach Convention Center . Less than a week later, the Association of Hispanic Advertising Agencies ( AHAA ) will define the new Latino identity in Miami , a city rich with Latin culture, during their 21 st Semi Annual Conference September 19 - 21 at Miami 's Hyatt Regency Hotel.

Miami is the perfect location for both associations. A popular vacation destination, Miami makes sense for WAEA, whose members specialize in the travel industry. Additionally, the city boasts a large Latino population, making it an ideal choice for AHAA , which deals with everything Latino in the advertising industry.

WAEA, a global association committed to excellence in inflight entertainment ( IFE ), communications and services, and the continual improvement of the airline passenger environment, anticipates 1,300 attendees to their conference and exhibition which will feature more than 150 exhibits. The conference begins with a keynote presentation by webcasted media pioneer, Scott Klososky, on the "Impact of Technology Trends on the IFE Industry."

The AHAA conference will provide new insights into marketing to Hispanics, and the association will introduce the new language of Latino advertising - the true Latino character. A number of creative awards honoring the best in the business will be presented during the conference. The Eduardo Caballero Lifetime Achievement Award will be p resented to an individual whose lifetime contribution, dedication and vision have been crucial in creating and fostering the U.S. Hispanic market. The conference will conclude with the presentation of the 8 th Annual Ad Age Hispanic Creative Advertising Awards ceremony.
