Association Management Group, Inc. is proud to join the new
association movement to adopt Global Principles for Socially
Responsible Associations & Nonprofits established by the American
Society of Association Executives. The term “social
responsibility” is defined as a commitment to leveraging the power of
the association community to create business practices that make a
positive social, economic, and environmental impact while creating
healthier organizations.
The Global Principles comprise the following:
- Responsible Advocacy – working against all forms of corruption in a manner consistent with the general public good
- Environmental and Economic Sustainability – encouraging
development and implementation of environmentally responsible business
practices as well as contributing to the economic success of all
represented employees, customers, communities and stakeholders
- Public Protection – conducting all business in an
ethical manner while protecting the safety, health and other interests
of those relying upon the products and/or services provided to their
members
- Diversity –valuing and seeking diverse and inclusive participation within the association community
- Philanthropy/Community Service – fostering open relationships and seeking opportunities to give back to the community
- Leadership – promoting organizational practices that
serve as an example of the values presented in the principles and
working with members as well as team members to enhance the effective
actualization of these principles

formalize what we have practiced at AMG for years,” says J. Bruce

wide movement and will encourage our associations to consider
incorporating these principles into their strategic plans as well.”
